The 'Yellowfin' rescued the three crew menbers of the 'Anthony' after the fishing vessel had capsized 40 miles off Caillou Bay, Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico on Feb 13, 2025. Eighth Coast Guard District Command Center watchstanders received a satellite distress alert from the EPIRB at 8:30 a.m., issued an UMIB and diverted the 'Yellowfin' to assist as well as a Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile HC-144B Ocean Sentry aircraft, which located a life raft in the vicinity of the partially submerged fishing vessel. The 'Yellowfin' arrived on scene later, located the life raft and brought the fishermen aboard. No injuries were reported. The Coast Guard Cutters 'Harold Miller' and 'Yellowfin' repatriated 118 Cubans to Cuba on Dec 1, 2022, following interdictions off Florida’s coast. A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Nov 26 at approximately 6:45 p.m., about 20 miles southeast of Upper Matecumbe. The Coast Guard Cutter 'William Flores' notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Nov 27 at approximately 12:15 a.m., about 32 miles south of Marathon. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Venturous' notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 4:15 p.m., about 7 miles south of Loggerhead Key. The 'William Flores' notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 6 p.m., about 30 miles south of Long Key. A good Samaritan alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 6 p.m., about 70 miles south of Dry Tortugas. A good Samaritan alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Nov 28 at approximately 9:30 a.m., about 15 miles southwest of Marquesas Key.
