Captain found dead in his cabin
The 38 years old captain of the 'Century' was found dead in his cabin on May 18, 2021, while the ship was sailing off the Central American coast in the Pacific, while en route from Shanghai to Panama. He was to sign-off in Panama and return to his home in the Ukraine. The ship arrived at Balboa anchorage on May 21. The authorities were duly informed, but refused, nevertheless, to take the Captain’s body and carry out formalities. The ship remained at anchor until MAy 23 at 1 a.m. enroute to Colon, where it arrived on May 25.
