Ship Shuffle for Celestyal Cruises as Odyssey is Out, Gemini In
Celestyal Cruises will see some fleet changes as the Celestyal Odyssey will move out of the fleet at the end of October, to be replaced by the Gemini, which will be renamed Celestyal Nephele, according to reports. The Odyssey came to Celestyal on a three-year charter agreement earlier this year, having most recently sailed for Semester at Sea. The ship was originally built as the Olympia Explorer in 2001. The Gemini will be delivered to the company in early 2016 and is slightly bigger with capacity for 1,074 passengers. The Olympia Explorer was one of two sister ships built for Royal Olympic Cruises in the early 2000s. The other ship is now the 840-passenger Chinese Taishan, operating for Bohai Ferry in the Chinese cruise market. http://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/13006.html
