Person died on river cruise ship
On July 14, 2025, the three fire departments of the market town of Wilhering were called shortly before midnight to support the emergency services at the Ottensheim/Wilhering Danube power plant. An internal emergency had occurred on the ' Bokero'. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts by the Red Cross and emergency medical personnel, the person died at the scene. The fire department supported the emergency services and the police, carried out the recovery of the deceased, and handed over the body for burial. The incident also caused shipping traffic to be blocked for an extended period.
