Collision in Aegean Sea
The roro cargo m/v 'Pelagitis' (IMO: 7528611), en route from Piraeus to Chios with four passengers, 21 crew members and 24 vehicles on board, was in collision with the 'Paradise Island', en route from PRovidence to Aliaga with 21 crew members, in the Kafirea Strait on Sep 21, 2022, at around 9 p.m. UTC Both ships were sailing roughly in northeastern direction and suffered minor damages but nevertheless. They were ordered to drop anchor at Karystos Bay. On Sep 22 at around 9 a.m., the 'Pelagitis' was moored in pos. 37° 59.23' N 024° 25.21' E, the 'Paradise Island' in pos. 37° 58.13'N 024° 25.86' E.
