Fire in Rümeli Feneri Port
On Feb 8, 2025, the 'Bedevi Reis,' which was moored in the Rümeli Feneri Port, caught fire. After a distress call, the lifeboat 'Kiyiemniyet-5' was deployed to assist. The local fire brigade s was able to extinguish the fire within two hours. The lifeboat continued with the cooling efforts. Two ishermen were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
