Tanker suffered engine failure off Yeniköy-Beykoz
The 'Barbaros Uluç Vardar', enroute from Istanbul to Sevilla, suffered an engine failure off the Yeniköy-Beykoz coast of the Bosphorus on Aug 26, 2025. Shortly thereafter, the vessel, escorted by the tug 'Kurtarma 9' (IMO: 9598581), had fixed the issue and continued its voage, exiting the Strait towards the Marmara Sea without incident and an ETA as of Sep 2. Medevac off Cartagena
Salvamento Marítimo carried out the medical evacuation of a crew member of the 'FS Clara' on Nov 4, 2020, with the amputation of a finger, at the anchorage in Cartagena. The SAR boats 'Clara Campoamor' and 'Salvamar Mimosa' were mobilized to assist and took the victim to shore where he was picked up by an ambulance.
