On 25-FEB-2011 at 09:52 UTC, the Merchant Vessel attacked by five Pirates on board 1 skiff launched from a mothership, while underway in position 11 41' 0" N, 061 29' 0" E, approx 412nm S.E. of Ras Irsil, Socotra Island. The PAG fired RPG's and other small arms at the vessel during the attack. Master initiated anti-piracy measures, increased speed and used evasive maneuvers to escape the attack.
