Collision in Marmara Sea
On Aug 14, 2011, the "Parmis" was in collision with the Malta-flagged cargo m/v "Apache" in the Marmara Sea off the north of Marmara Island. A rescue ship was sent to the scene. Both ships did not suffer severe damage and headed to a port zone in the northwestern province of Tekirdag. The "Parmis" was underway to Gemlik in the Turkish northwestern province of Bursa and coming from Egypt, while the "Apache" was boudn from Italy to Russia.
