Tanker left detention
The 'Voss Spirit', which was loaded with diesel, was forced to leave the detention area after having been held by Saudi Arabia for a total of 262 days, and made its way to a destination outside Yemen. The tanker was loaded with approximately 30.000 tons of diesel, and was authorised by the United Nations to reach the port of Hodeidah.
Bahri picks up VLCC pair from Tanker Investments for $155m
National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has announced that its board has approved the acquisition of two 2010-built VLCCs for a total price of $155m. The DSME-built vessels, Voss Spirit and Hemesdal Spirit, have been acquired from Teekay Corporation’s special investment company Tanker Investments and are expected to be delivered mid to late January.
