Barge raised and towed to Lelystad

Thu Jul 21 09:51:00 CEST 2016 Timsen

HEBO Maritime Service lifted the "Alsvin" on July 19 at 11 a.m. with the two sheerlegs "Hewbo Lift 6" and "Hebo Lift 8", The hull was then dewatered with six capable pumps. The recovery went according to plan thanks to the calm weather. Around noon the ship was almost entirely above water. Then the vessel was towed to the shelter port in Lelystad where it was going to be inspected and prepared for the journey to a shipyard. The cargo of 3,000 tons of slag was lightered by the crane ship "Progress" of De Waard from Lekkerkerk on July 18. As a precaution, an oil boom was placed around the ship.
