Two injured in accident

The Chief Engineer and an oiler of the 'APL Southampton', both of Bulgarian nationality, were injured in an accident in the engine room on April 8, 2021, south of San Francisco. The ship was en route from Los Angeles to Oakland. The injured needed to be medevaced. The ship reduced its speed, made a long loop and resumed sailing towards San Francisco later that day. It moored in pos. 37° 44.34' N 122° 20.05' W on April 9 at 2.50 a.m. at San Francisco Anchorage.
