Indonesia's navy seized two tankers

Thu Apr 28 11:02:59 CEST 2022 Timsen

Indonesia's navy seized two tankers carrying crude palm oil, palm olein and methanol for permit and paperwork violations, in an operation conducted a day before a palm oil export ban took effect, on April 28, 2022. The 'World Progress' violated vessel specifications in its travel document, while the 'Annabelle' carried methanol without a permit, according to the navy, which has been deployed to enforce the export ban, which took effect midnight on April 27. The 'World Progress' was en route from Dumai on Sumatra island towards Kandla, loaded with 34,854.3 tonnes of palm olein, while the 'Annabelle' was seized off Borneo island, heading from Singapore to Shajrah.
