Electrical failure caused traffic chaos
An electrical fault sidelined the "Brandal" on July 17, 2014, and caused traffic chaos between Tjøtta and Forvik. The ship remained at Tjøtta due to an engine failure which followed technical problems the previous day. Due to an electrical fault the engines did not start in the morning. lectricians were called to resolve the problem. It was, however, uncertain how long "Brandal" would be out of service.
Ferry allided with dock
On July 5, shortly after 11 a.m., the "Brandal" allided with the jetty in Banette. The ferry had come with full speed from Forvik to transport a patient to Tjøtta where an ambulance was waiting. The ferry came in with too much speed then. An elder passenger fell and and injured his head, the captain suffered a cut in the head. Paramedics drove aboard the Ferry and treated the person who fell. She was conscious and sent to hospital. Ferry service suffered some delays, but the ship remained operational.
Ferry allided with quay in Halsa
In the foremidday June 14, 2013, the "Brandal" allided with the quay at Halsa. The ferry had approached the dock with too much speed for reasons yet unknown. As the ship was sidelined after the accident, the ferry connection between Halsa and Kanestraum had a reduced capacity since. The impact caused small damage on the dock. The ship hit the concrete beside the terminal. After the crash the ferry turned around so that the cars on board had to reverse.
