635 Egyptian pilgrims were saved from possible injury as the "Alriyadh" that was carrying them from Yanbu to Safaga returned to the Saudi port after it was caught in a storm. It returned to Yanbu on May 2nd, 2010, three hours after it sailed. After the weather cleared, the ship left for Safaga. Already at the end of last month, the ship was forced to change its destination to a southern Egyptian port after it encountered bad weather with 624 passengers including a large number of pilgrims on board. It arrived at its original destination of Safaga after a 21-hour journey which should have taken only six.
