Engine failure in Bosphorus
On Nov 13, 2013, at 9 p.m. the "Tala" suffered engine faiilure during the passage of the Bosphorus north of Acartabya. The tug "Kurtarma 9" and the lifeboat "Kıyı Emniyeti 1" were dispateched and the ship was secured at Büyükdere at 10.30 p.m. The LPG-tanker with a crew of 19 onboard was enroute from Istanbul to Kerch.
