Port of Kalama Named Washington State Port of the Year
The Washington Public Ports Association has honored the Port of Kalama with the President’s Port of the Year Award for combining long-term vision and innovative planning to create jobs and improve the community’s quality of life. Port of Kalama commissioners received the award at the WPPA annual meeting last week in Olympia, Washington.
$50 million expansion on the horizon for Port of Kalama grain terminal
The owners of a Kalama grain terminal are planning a $50 million expansion, including eight to 12 additional storage silos, new rail lines and new conveyors, according to Cowlitz County planning officials and construction industry analysts.
