Ship arrested after container damage
The 'Kota Bistari' was arrested as per the local High Court orders in Chittagong Port on July 19, 2023. It had offloaded cargo at berth number J/6 after arrival/berthing on July 17 onward and was supposed to shift to the outer anchorage. It has already been transferred to the outer anchorage and is waiting for the resolution of litigation. The ship was remaining at Chittagong Port to resolve the legal matter of damage to a container box suffered during cargo operations on board. However, the owner expected the vessel to resume its voyage early next week, soon after the release from the local court.
