Container ships collided on Kiel Canal

On Aug 31, 2012, at 03.50 a.m. two deck containers of the "Flintercarrier" were knocked down by stormy wind gusts and fell onto the windlass about25 kilometers west of Goeree in stormy weather so the ship was unable to anchor, and it was decided to proceed to Zeebrugge. The local authorities there refused to give the permission to enter port.
