Reports with photos of sunken "Brandon" http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/scituate/2011/01/scituate_fishing_vessel_sinks_1.html http://news.bostonherald.com/news/regional/view/20110113fishing_boat_damaged_in_crash_sinks/

WEST BAY 9278868

Thu Jan 13 09:52:30 CET 2011 Timsen

The "West Bay" was ordered to enter Boston on Jan 12 for investigations after the Scituate fishing boat "Michael Brandon" slammed into the side. The f/v has sunk at the pier in Scituate due to the heavy bow damage. The cause of the accident hasn’t been determined but the f/v apparently drove bow-first into the side of the ship. Investigators are interviewing both crews. The owner of the "Michael Brandon" was treated at a local hospital for a leg injury and later released. Crews had used water pumps and a crane in vain tried to keep the vessel afloat after it was tied up at the Scituate Town Pier on Jan 11. Efforts to raise the boat will begin when the weather is more favorable. There was no damage reported regarding the "West Bay".

WEST BAY 9278868

Wed Jan 12 11:27:56 CET 2011 Timsen

On Jan 11 at 5 p.m. the "West Bay" was in collision with the 51-ft-f/v "Michael Brandon" 20miles southeast of Hull. The "West Bay" reported no damage, but the "Michael Brandon" had extensive damage to the bow. A Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter from Air Station Cape Cod, and a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew, from Station Point Allerton, diverted to the scene of the collision. The helicopter crew, on scene within 30 minutes, lowered a de-watering pump to the fishing vessel to assist with flooding control. Unable to dewater and repair the vessel offshore, the lifeboat crew took the "Michael Brandon" in tow. The three mariners and the vessel are in safe harbor near Scituate, Mass.
