Grounding off Stavenisse
The "Verano", 2100 ts (EU-No.: 02328969), ran aground on the Easter Scheldt off Stavenisse on Jan 13, 2017, around 7 a.m. at the white bouy Vlije, a small passage between two sand bars in the Easter Scheldt. The ship was coming from Euroort in Rotterdam, having sailed at 1.45 a.m. The "RWs 75" (IMO: 9479125) of Rijkswaterstaat and the tug "Delta" (MMSI: 244700655) were deployed to the grounding site. At 12.50 a.m. the tanker was refloated and approached the Wemeldinge lock.
