Ship boarded by perpetrators

While underway in the Malacca Strait in position 01 03 49.8N, 103 41 12.0E, perpetrators boarded the "Transpacific" on Sep 30, 2019. Nothing was stolen, the perpetrators escaped. The incident was reported to the Singapore Vessel Traffic Information System. The ship called at Pyeongtaek, South Korea, on Oct 10.

While the 'Transpacific' was underway in the Malacca Strait, in position 01 03 49.8N, 103 41 12.0E, five perpetrators armed with knives were sighted in the upper deck of the vessel, on Sep 30, 2019, at 11.15 p.m. The alarm was raised, and the crew searched the accommodation area, but the perpetrators had already escaped. The Master reported the incident to Singapore Vessel Traffic Information System (VTIS). The crew was safe, and nothing was stolen. The vessel sailed from Singapore on Oct 1 bound to Pyeongtaek, ETA Oct 9.
