Grounding on the Elbe
Enroute from Den Helder to Kiel the "Stortemelk" ran aground on the Elbe on the Glameier Stack off Müggendorf on Apr 24, 2016, with a crew of eight on board. The ship was listing to starboard after having got stuck on a groyne with considerable speed. On scene was NW wind of 7 Bf. The police boat "Bürgermeister Brauer" and the lifeboat "Hermann Helms" attended the charter ship, but left again later.
