Sailings cancelled due to technical issue
The St.Clare' suffered a technical issue and had to cancel a number of sailings on the Fishbourne-Portsmouth route from Sep 6-8, 2023. The 8 p.m. sailing from Portsmouth Gunwharf and the 9 p.m. return from Fishbourne have been pulled.
Two Solent ferries delayed
On Nov 28, 2022, the ferry 'Victoria of Wight' had to return to Portsmouth, because of a medical emergency on board. At the same time, an issue with the boarding ramp at Fishbourne delayed the arrival of the 6 .p.m sailing of the 'St. Clare'. Engineers resolved the problem. Both 'St. Clare' and 'Victoria of Wight' faced hold-ups of up to 2,5 hours while waiting to cross the Solent.
Passenger injured in fall on board
A medical emergency on board the 'St. Clare' at Fishbourne, led to delays on the cross-Solent route in the morning of Aug 18, 2022. A passenger had suffered a head injury as the result of a fall. The incident has halted the departure at 07:00 a.m., which in turn meant that sister ship 'St. Faith' was unable to dock and was holding off in the Solent. At 7.45 a.m. the 'St Clare' departed from Fishbourne, albeit 40 minutes behind timetable.
