Crew of three saved from grounded yacht
The "Spirit One" suffered steering failure in waves of four meters height while enroute from Cascais to the Canaries and grounded on the Casteljo Beach near Lagos on Feb 4, 2014, at 9.50 p.m. The Polish crew of three issued a mayday call and received assistance by the maritime police and the fire rescue from Vila do Bispo. After the tide had receded, all men were saved at 11 p.m. The MRCC Lisboa had also put an EH -101-helicopter of the Portuguese Air Force on alert.
