Barge in danger of sinking
On Dec 5, 2018, at 5 p.m. the fire brigade was alerted to the "Siguenza", 1304 ts (EU-No.: 06003252; MMSI-No.: 205355890; CS: OT3558), which was in trouble at the port of Tolkamer. The fire brigade of Lobith and Pannerden went on the spot and found the ship in danger of sinking after it suffered a hole in the hull enroute from Stein to Plochingen with a cargo of fertilizer. The skipper safely sailed the ship into the overnight port in Tolkamer. The fire brigade started to drain the water. The fire boat "Gelderland" (MMSI: 244710428) and the patrol boat "RWS 43" (MMSI: 244070618) of Rijkswaterstaat attended the ship.
