Tanker rescued crew of capsized boat
The crew of the "Overseas Texas City" rescued five people from the water after their boat capsized 12 miles east of Galveston, in the afternoon of July 22, 2017. At 12:43 p.m., the crew of the tanker contacted the Coast Guard Houston/Galveston to report locating the capsized boat bottom up with the bow still visible, and five people in the water near it. The tanker quickly launched their rescue boat and recovered all five people. A Coast Guard Station Galveston response boat crew picked up the rescued from the tanker and brought them back to shore.
