330 migrants assisted to safety
On the night of Sep 17 and and Sep 18, the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo has coordinated the assistance to six migrant boats with a total of 330 people, who were transferred to Arrecife by the 'Guardamar Talía' and the 'Salvamar Al Nair'. The 'Salvamar Izar' has assisted another boat to Gran Tarajal with 52 people on board. The CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo has coordinated assistance to two cayucos in El Hierro with 132 people on board. 171 nigrants rescued from three boats
On June 9, the 'Salvamar Izar' has rescued 55 people from one inflatable boat, and the 'Guardamar Talía' 56 miogrants from another one, while the 'Guardamar Concepción Arenal' rescued 60 people from a third boat. All migrants were transferred to Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura. The reszce operations were coordinated by the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo. 55 migrants rescued off Gran Tarajal
On June 8, 2024, the 'Salvamar Izar' has rescued 55 people, among them five women, from inflatable boats 15 nautical miles southeast of Gran Tarajal. The castaaways were transferred to Gran Tarajal (Fuerteventura).
