SAR boat responded to yacht fire
On May 14, 2025, the sailing yacht 'Argonaut' caught fire in the dry dock area of Marina Sant Carles de la Ràpita. The 'Salvamar Achernar' was mobilized by the CCS Tarragona of Salvamento Marítimo to assist the firefighters, who worked to extinguish the blaze. Fishing vessel towed to Vinaros
On Aug 30, 2024, the Spanish flagged fishing vessel 'Campeon Primero' with eight crew members on board suffered an engine failure 13 nautical miles east of Torrenostra (Castellón) and requested towing assistance to Vinaros. The CCS Castellón of Salvamento MArítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Achernar', which took the vessel in tow and safely pulled it to Vinaros.
Fishing vessel towed to Casas de Alcanar
The Spanish flagged fishing vessel 'Sord de Barralle' was disabled and adrift in the morning of OCt 28, 2023, near Trabucador, due to a mechanical breakdown. The 'Salvamar Achernar' was mobilized by the CCS Tarragona of Salvamento Marítimo to assist. It took the ship in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Casas de Alcanar.
