Tanker sold and renamed
The 'Vinga Safir' has been sold to Väderö Tank and she was handed over at Falkenberg port last week to the new owner. The tanker has been on sale for a long time and has most recently been involved in bunker deliveries. It would have been in charter until May 31, 2020, but it was canceled in April. Vinga Safir has therefore been for sale for the past two months. The tanker was owned by Sol Tankers on the Faroe Islands with management of the Vinga Ship Management at Donsö. As a replacement forthe 'Vinga Safir', the shipping company plans to acquire a larger product and chemical tanker of between 5,000 and 10,000 dwt, but the circumstances make it a little difficult for both travel and inspect right now. The AB Väderö Tank has been renamed the tanker 'Akleja'. It will continue to sail under the Faroese flag.
