Search resumed by Salvamento Marítimo
hTe search for the fisherman who disappeared when he fell into the sea from the 'Novo Xoel' continued on May 2, a week after the accident in the Cantabrian Sea, five miles north of the town of San Vicente de la Barquera. After some visibility problems caused by the fog in recent days that caised the search to be suspended for a few hours, it was resumed on April 30 and May 1 with sea tracking work carried out by the 'Alonso de Chaves' from Salvamento Marítimo. On May 2 the 'Salvamar Deneb' was deployed to the search area.
Search for missing crew member going on
The MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Santander continued to coordinate the search for the missing crew member of the 'Novo Xoel', who fell into the sea 5 miles north of San Vicente de la Barquera. On April 30 the tug 'Alonso de Chaves' was in the search area. They day before the patrol boat 'Río Aller' of the Guardia Civil and in the afternoon the 'Salvamar Deneb' were tasked with the search.
Search for missing crew member continued
On April 26 the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Santander continued to coordinate the search for the missing crew member of the 'Novo Xoel' who fell into the sea on April 25 at 7:40 a.m. five nautical miles north of San Vicente de la Barquera. The search had continued all night without interruption. Involved were the SAR helicopter Helimer 102, the Sasemar 102 aircrat, the 'Salvamar Deneb' and the SAR ship 'Alonso de Chaves', the hospital ship 'Esperanca deö Mar', the helicopter DR 112 of the Civil Protetion Cantabria, the CUCO helicopter of the Guardia Cevil and patrols.
