Tanker attacked by drones
The 'Nissos Kea' was attacked by two drones on Oct 20, 2022, while it was loading oil at the Ash Shihr Oil Terminal off the coast of Yemen. One drone exploded just in front of the bow, while another shortly afterwards exploded 30 meters from the starboard side. The tanker immediately stopped loading, quickly left the oil terminal and headed for international waters. No one on board the tanker was injured in the attack. It was not clear whether the tanker or the oil terminal was the actual target of the mid-afternoon attack.
