Detention in Gemlik

Grounding on the Don

The "Reliance" ran aground on the Don at kilometer mark 3.175 at 6 a.m. in the morning of June 12, 2018, while sailing upstream to Rostov-on-Don. Two tug, the "Poortovyy 22" and "Delta", were sent to the grounding site near Azov Buoy No 71, in pos. 47 07N, 39 19E by the Rosmorrechflot MRCC and were on site at noon. The freighter had arrived from Isthmia, where she had sailed on June 5. After having been refloated, it berthed at the Rostov Container Terminal at 9.40 p.m.
