Allision in Oudeschild

The "Nao Victoria" was damaged in the afternoon of June 20, 2017, in a collision with the Bulgarian "Royal Helena" in the port of Oudeschild. She slammed with the bow sprit in the port side of Spanish replica which was berthed at the dock close to The Kombuis. Both ships were in port for the Pre-Sail, which took place on June 21. The hull of the "Nao Victoria" splintered in the aft section, and the ship was pushed against the quayside. The "Royal Helena" was also damaged. The police boarded the ships for further investigation. The "Royal Helena" had entered the port at high speed, according to eyewitnesses because of the strong winds, which were favourable to enter the port but bad when the ship was to stop inside.
