Medevac off Holyhead
The British Coastguard rescued an injured fisherman from the "Stormvogel" on Feb 17 ,2019. The Belgian fisherman had been seriously injured while hauling the nets. The British emergency services were informed just before 11 p.m. from the ship that sailed 28 miles off the coast of Holyhead, North West-Wales. The fellow fishermen immediately took care of the victim and provided first aid. The weather conditions were quite turbulent with wind speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. The rescue team descended from the helicopter to the ship and prepared the victim for hoisting. He was immediately flown to the nearest hospital in the town of Bangor in Wales.
