Mon Jan 07 10:32:00 CET 2019 Timsen

The Taipei RCC has stopped its SAR operation for the missing 10 crews members of the "London" as of Jan 6. 14 crew members were from Myanmar and one from Taiwan. The Taiwanese rescuers were alerted on Jan 2, after the ship issued a distress call as it capsized 80 miles northeast of the Pengjia islet. The vessel sank at 4.30 a.m. about 170 kilometres east of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. At 3.30 p.m. two crew members were rescued by a South Korean fishing boat, while two others were rescued, and one body was found by a Chinese fishing boat, but the other 10 remained missing. The Ministry of National Defence has deployed three helicopters, the Air Combat Command has dispatched a S-70C helicopter and a fixed-wing airplane, and the Coast Guard Administration has sent the "Taoyuan - CG-132". In addition, China deployed two helicopters and four rescue ships to the site. A Taiwanese helicopter had to return to base at 9 a.m. due to poor visibility and to the long distance. Two Taiwanese coast guard frigates reached the area on Jan 3.
