Fast ferry back in service
The 'Lilleøre' was ready to resume sailing on Oct 2 between Sælvig on Samsø and Aarhus. The ferry has been out of service since Sep 16 due to a damage to a bearing in the ferry's gear. Initially, it was only supposed to be out of service until Sep 22, but due to the extent of the damage, it had to be sent to Germany. The first departure from Sælvig was at 6:30 a.m. However, there were cancellations on the route again on Oct 6 and 7, when the ferry will undergo a planned service inspection, which cannot be carried out during operation. This applies to the departures from Sælvig at 3:15 p.m. and from Aarhus at 4:30 p.m. Commuter transport will be used instead. It was not possible to carry out the service inspection while the 'Lilleøre' was still at the shipyard, as the technicians were not able to arrive earlier.
Ferry sent to Germany for repairs
The mechanics at Grenå Shipyard have found the cause of the vibrations that have been felt in the catering area of the Lilleøre' were due to damage to a bearing in the ship's gear. The fault cannot be fixed in Denmark, which is why the bearing has now been sent for repair in a German yard. As a consequence, the ferry will not be back in service on Sep 22, as initially assumed, but only in week 41. While the ferry is in the shipyard, Samsø Rederi has deployed a commuter bus Monday to Friday departing from Hou at 6.45 a.m. and from DOKK1 at 4 p.m. Passengers on other departures are referred to the Hou-Sælvig route.

The ferry has therefore been taken out of service on Sep 15, 2025, and sidelined in Sælvig, so that it can proceed to a shipyard for investigations. The plan wwas for the ferry to be back in service on Sep 22.
