Ferry assisted fisherman
A Norwegian fishing vessel suffered an engine failure in the morning of April 9, 2021, at 6.50 a.m. and requested assistance outside Kågen in the Skjervøy municipality. The attempt to drop anchor failed, and the ship was in danger of drifting towards the shore. The "Kvænangen" was asked if they could assist. The ferry, which runs between Skjervøy and Burfjord, took the ship with its skipper in tow. The sailings were temporarily canceled. The casulaty was pulled to Skjervøy where the skipper was picked up by a boat of the Coastguard ship "Farms", which took over the fishing vessel.
