Search for missing fisherman
The 'Farm' was one of several ships involved for the search for a fisherman who had been lost over board from a vessel homeported in Bodø on Dec 12, 2023, at 11.20 a.m. at Lopphavet in Finnmark. SAR helicopters have been sent from Banak and Tromsø, as well as the lifeboats "Gjert Wilhelmsen" and RS "Klavenes Marine" from Havøysund and Skjervøy. A number of other vessels were also in the area, including diving vessels, the ferry 'Bergsfjord' and an aquaculture boat. At 2 p.m. a military surveillance plane of the type P8 Poseidon has also been deployed in the search.The search was officially stopped at 8 p.m. It will now be up to the police whether the search should be resumed on Dec 13, but then the search will be for a presumed dead. There were two people on board the vessel, and that it was the other person who reported the accident to HRS via coastal radio.
