Water ingress in engine room
The "Burhou I", en route from Belfast, where it had sailed on June 1, 2018, at 8.55 p.m., to Furnace with a crew of six and a cargo of 850 tonnes stones on board, suffered water ingress in the engine room in position 55 25 45 N, long 005 35 58.8 W on June 2 at 01.55 a.m. The Campbeltown lifeboat escorted the vessel to Campbeltown harbour where it was docked at 06. 20 a.m. The master's intention was to unload the cargo before investigating the source of the water ingress, undergo temporary repair works and then take the vessel to dry dock, following an approval from its agent or owner.
Ban in Wicklow lifted
The "Bourhou I" that was detained in Wicklow Port for more than a week, on Mar 21, 2016 finally departed bound for Belfast where she arrived on Mar 22 at 10 a.m. She was detained during a Port State Control after having discharged a cargo of round timber from Kyle of Lochalsh following an inspection by the port authorities. The detention surrounded a single technical deficiency to resolve.
