Ferry allided with quay in Amsterdam
A woman was injured on Aug 14, 2013, when the "Ijveer 53" allided with the dock of the NDSM-yard whilst coming from the Central Station in Amsterdam at 5.45 p.m. The engine had failed, so that the ship was unable to stop and twice crashed against the quay. Several people on board fell, including the woman. She was taken to a hospital with a head wound. Some more passengers were slightly injured. The ferry was taken out of service after the accident.
