Ferry rescued three fishermen
On Oct 3, 2024, the 'Horizon 9' assisted the crew of a fishing boat which had sunk near the Batu Berhenti waters a in pos. 01°11.687 N 103°53.191E at 3:50 p.m. LT. Initial information regarding the incident was provided by the 'Sindo 10'. The 'Horizon 9'Ä, which was in the vicinity, promptly provided assistance and successfully rescued the three fishermen at 3.56 p.m. They were picked up by the patrol ship KN 'Tanjung Datu' at 4:37 p.m., receiving further medical care. After the rescue operation was concluded, the ferry continued its voyage to Singapore at 4.39 p.m. The authorities were investigating the cause of the boat's sinking.
