Man died in accident on trawler
A man died in an accident on board of the 'Honeybourne III' off the coast of West Sussex en route to the port of Shoreham after a mayday call. The Sussex Police were notified by the Coastguard of a mayday call being received from the vessel on Oct 7, 2023, at about 01:40 a.m. BST. No suspicious circumstances were identified by police. The vessel was met in Shoreham by police officers and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB). The officers were supporting an investigation by the MAIB, which has deployed a team of investigators to conduct a preliminary assessment.
