High Speed Craft escorted Spanish naval vessel out of Gibraltar waters
The UK have strongly condemned an incursion by a Spanish naval vessel, which interrupted routine training exercises by the Royal Navy in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters on Oct 3, 2023. The 'P83' conducted a number of "unsafe manoeuvres, which could have endangered other vessels. The HMS 'Cutlass' of the Gibraltar Squadron responded to the incursion, and escorted the Spanish ship for the duration of its time in Gibraltar waters. The UK will protest the incident to the Spanish government in Madrid, as incursion are "a violation of sovereignty, not a threat to it".
