Cooling water trouble in Hecate Street
The 'GSL Eleni', en route from Vancouver to Nansha, was disabled due to a problem with its main engine cooling water system in position 53 08 51N, 130 36 56W, about 20 nautical miles from the WSW Banks Island in the Hecate Strait on Sep 19, 2021, at 7.15 a.m. The crew members carried out repairs while the vessel was drifting, and it resumed the voyage the same day with an ETA as of Oct 6.
