Allision with wind turbine

On April 21, 2025, At 07:05 a.m. the 'Glomar Venture' allided on the North Sea with a wind turbine. The accident occurred approximately 24 kilometres from the coast of Callantsoog. The lifeboat stations of: Egmond, Callantsoog and Den Helder received an alarm for a medical evacuation, as two crew members on board the vessel had been injured. The lifeboat 'Irene & Henk' from station Egmond was underway about ten minutes after the alarm. Once alongside the guard ship, three crew members were transferred on board. The liefboat 'Koen Oberman' from Callantsoog also dropped off three crew members on board. The medical condition of both crew members was quickly assessed, and the injured were prepared for evacuation. When the lifeboat 'Joke Dijkstra' from Den Helder arrived, the two injured were transferred onto the lifeboat, which then sets course for Den Helder where an ambulance was ready. Also the emergency tug'Guardian' of the Coast Guard was called out. The 'Glomar Venture' did not suffer any leakage, but damage to the bow. It was moved to the port in Den Helder under escort of the Coast Guard. The maritime police started investigating the allision. Nothing was yet known about the damage to the windmill.
