Collision off Fécamp
On June 23, 2016, around 7:00 a.m. the CROSS Gris-Nez was informed that two French trawlers, the “Ma Desirade – LH 933108”, registered in Le Havre and with a crew of two on board, and the “Mordu - FC.899311” (MMSI-No.: 227592050 ), a longliner registered in Fécamp with fishermen on board, were in collision seven miles off Le Fécamp. The skipper and owner of the “Mordu’ suffered a shock, and a medical consultation was carried out with the Maritime Medical Consultation Centre (MMCC) in Toulouse. Following this consultation, the ship headed to Fécamp where the man was medically supported upon arrival at 7:50 a,m. The “Ma Desirade” had suffered damage in the collision which was, however, not affecting the maneuverability or the general seaworthiness.
