Equinor extends Solstad Offshore PSV contracts
Norway’s Solstad Offshore has announced the extension of contracts with Equinor for two of its platform supply vessels, while also securing a new contract elsewhere for another PSV. Equinor UK has declared options on 2013-built pair Sea Frost and Sea Falcon. The one-year options will see the vessels contracted though to July 2020 and November 2020 respectively, with further options still available to Equinor. Additionally, the 2014-built PSV Sea Surfer has been awarded a new three-month contract, with options, by an unnamed client. The contract is scheduled to commence in June/July.
Contract with oil company
The "Sea Frost" has been awarded 60 days and 90 days firm contracts, respectively, plus 120 days options for an international oil company for operations in Asia.
Deep Sea Supply takes delivery of PSV "Sea Frost" from Sinopacific Shipyard
Deep Sea Supply has taken delivery of the Platform Supply Vessel "Sea Frost" of PX 105 design from Sinopacific Shipyard, the company said in its press release. The vessel is owned by a company which is 50% owned by Deep Sea Supply and 50% by BTG Pactual. The vessel's main characteristics are the size of 4700 dwt, 1000 m2 deck area, clean design, diesel electric propulsion and the X-bow design which reduces fuel consumption significantly. Following the delivery of "Sea Frost", Deep Sea Supply has 15 AHTS vessels and 14 PSVs in operation, in total 29 vessels.
