Ferry suffered technical problems
The 'Fredrikke Tønder Olsen' had to cancel the service on the Helgeland Commuter Route on Aug 7 at 07:30 a.m. until further notice due to a technical fault with the power supply on board. The ship was sidelined in Ørnvika for troubleshooting and proceeded to Sandnessjøen at around noon for permanent repairs, where it remained stationary as of Aug 8. The ferry operator Boreal Sjø inserted the ferry 'Jernøy' (IMO: 9429766) as a replacmenent, and the service was resumed from Sandnessjøen at 7:00 p.m., calling at Nesna at 7:30 p.m., Stokkvågen at 08:00 p.m. and Onøy with connection NEX at 08:20 p.m. Other scheduled trips were served according to the schedule.
Ferry suffered technical fault
On July 29, the 'Fredrikke T. Olsen' suffered a technical fault and proceeded from Træna to Sandnessjøen for repairs. Onward transportation from Træna on July 30 at 01:05 p.m. has been cancelled as a consequence. Travellers who were going on from Træna were asked to check alternative travel options.
Ferry suffered technical problems
On the evening of Jan 14, 2025, the 'Fredrikke Tønder-Olsen', during its service from Sleneset to Lovund, suffered engine problems off Onøy and needed assistance. A ferry to Onøy of the Helgeland commute was on its way to help the ship dock at the quay. The catamaran ferry postponed the scheduled departure from Træna to Sandnessjøen due to the technical problems with the main engines.
