Allision with dolphin
The "Fjordstraum" which had to interrupt its voyage from Kotka to Rotterdam in the Kiel Canal after the collision of the "Herm Kiepe" and "Empire" on Mar 2, 2013, at noon, allided with the pilings in the passing point Kudensee. It hit the dolphin Group 50 while attempting to moor. The pilings were severely damaged. Tanker caught while releasing hazardous substances
On June 28, 2012, at 12.30 a.m. staff of the Seaport Police Rotterdam has fined the master with 40,000 Euro for the discharge of hazardous substances. The crew of a surveillance plane of the Belgian Coastguard had seen that the ship left a trail of pollution behind and reported this to the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Seaport Police.
